One on One Basketball

Join ONE on ONE BASKETBALL for After School Hoops at Valhalla Elementary School. Throughout the Spring, skilled and experienced basketball instructors will conduct a one hour clinic, once a week, for you and your friends. These clinics will help you become a better basketball player through drills, contests, and game competition.

Cooking Round the World

Cooking Round the World gives boys & girls the opportunity to learn about countries 'round the world by cooking...and eating! By combining cultural education and culinary arts children learn cooking skills while experiencing a country's culinary flavors. Cooking is 100% hands on. Everyone dices, juices, sautes and participates. After cooking we eat as a group and discuss how the flavors are indicative of the country of the day. All recipes will be emailed at the end of the session. The program is limited to a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 16 students. Cooking Round the World is a nut free program. Young Rembrandts

Make this a memorable winter by signing up your elementary child in a Young Rembrandts drawing class. Your child will learn about basic design and composition as they draw the Fish Below Ice and the Great Wall of China. If your child is fond of sports, they will enjoy drawing our illustration featuring a Hockey Player. Besides strengthening your child's drawing and coloring skills, he or she will learn about art history as we present a lesson featuring the Mona Lisa. Enroll your child today! Young Rembrandts provides all classroom supplies and a trained instructor. Classes are held immediately after school. Parents are responsible for transportation at class end. The Berkeley Chess School is a nonprofit organization offering chess instruction from kindergarten through high school since 1982. Chess is fun and can be learned quickly and easily. Studies have found that chess helps improve test results in reading, science, and math, and produces growth in critical cognitive skills. Beyond academia, chess influences social behavior including self-esteem, respect for others, patience, and good sportsmanship. And did we mention: it’s FUN!

Does your child love to dance? Can't sit still when music comes on? Then they are ready for FUNKMODE Hip Hop and Breakdance! Students will build their confidence while learning various Hip Hop dance styles in a positive, encouraging atmosphere. We have developed a unique curriculum to ensure they will learn musicality, choreography and performance skills each week, while using their own creativity and personal expression. This empowering dance style is great for girls and boys because Hip Hop is for everyone!

Toyology: Science through toys
